Decision:
Delegate authority to the Head of Property Services to surrender the lease of Woodbourn Business Centre to the Pakistan Muslim Centre (Sheffield) Ltd.
Reasons for the decision:
It is proposed to surrender the lease, to the Pakistan Muslim Centre (Sheffield) Ltd, avoiding a long term onerous lease. The Pakistan Muslim Centre has agreed to a freeze on any rental rises (if applicable) for a period after surrender in the interest of the tenants. The Pakistan Muslim Centre have already confirmed that they would like to redecorate the communal areas of the Centre to the benefit of the tenants within a reasonable time of the surrender.
Alternative options considered:
If the Council did nothing it will continue to make a loss on running the Business Centre for the residue of the unexpired term.
