as amended, regarding information relating to an
individual/information which is likely to reveal the identity of an

Consideration of Standards Complaint (Reference SC.2016.17)
Report of the Monitoring Officer.

The Monitoring Officer submitted a report on
the findings from an investigation into a complaint alleging that
an elected Member had failed to comply with the Members’ Code
of Conduct. The Member and complainant were not required to attend
the meeting.

Resolved: That, after
consideration of the report on complaint reference SC.2016.17 and
taking into account the views of the Independent Person, the
Sub-Committee agreed to take no action as there was insufficient
evidence to indicate a potential breach of the Members’ Code
of Conduct.

regarding a complaint alleging that an Elected Member had failed to
comply with the Members’ Code of Conduct. The Member and
complainant were not required to attend the meeting.

Resolved: That, after
consideration of the report on complaint reference SC.2016.17 and
taking into account the views of the Independent Person, the
Sub-Committee agreed that (a) the Elected Member’s conduct
may constitute a potential breach of the Members’ Code of
Conduct and (b) this can be best resolved through a local
resolution of the Member receiving guidance on how to communicate
effectively in such situations and treat others with respect,
particularly where there is a difference of opinion.
