RESOLVED: That the public and press be excluded from the meeting before discussion takes place on item 4 on the grounds that, if the public and press were present during the transaction of such business, there would be a disclosure to them of exempt information as described in paragraphs 1 and 2 of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972, as amended.

Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Licensing - Individual Cases

Report of the Chief Licensing Officer.

Minutes:

4.1

The Chief Licensing Officer submitted details in respect of a case relating to hackney carriage and private hire licensing.

 

 

4.2

The licence holder in Case No. 11/19 attended the hearing and addressed the Sub-Committee.

 

 

4.3

RESOLVED: That, after consideration of the information contained in the case papers and the information reported at the meeting,  the Sub-Committee agrees that the licence in Case No.11/19 be immediately revoked under Section 61 of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976, as amended by Section 52 of the Road Safety Act 2006, as the Sub-Committee considers that, in the light of the offence now committed, the licence holder is no longer a fit and proper person to hold a licence.
