Minutes:

4.1

The Chief Licensing Officer submitted details in respect of three cases relating to hackney carriage and private hire licensing.

 

 

4.2

The licence holder in Case No. 69/17 attended the meeting and addressed the Sub-Committee.

 

 

4.3

The applicant in Case No. 70/17 attended the meeting and addressed the Sub-Committee.

 

 

4.4

The licence holder in Case No. 71/17 attended the meeting with a representative and they both addressed the Sub-Committee.

At the request of the applicant, defer consideration of the review in order to give the applicant the opportunity to obtain legal advice.

Grant the licence for the term of one year as requested, but the applicant be given a written warning as to his future conduct.

Review of a Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Driver’s Licence

In light of the additional evidence provided, the information contained in the report and the responses to the questions raised, the Sub-Committee decided that there were exceptional circumstances to deviate from the policy and to reinstate the licence, but the licence holder be given a written warning as to his future conduct, to remain in place until the end of his next licence.
