Minutes:

4.1

The Chief Licensing Officer submitted details in respect of three cases relating to hackney carriage and private hire licensing.

 

 

4.2

The applicant in Case No. 95/17 was not able to attend the hearing.

 

 

4.3

The applicant in Case No. 96/17 attended the hearing and addressed the Sub-Committee.

 

 

4.4

The applicant in Case No. 97/17 attended the hearing with a representative, and they both addressed the Sub-Committee.

 

 

4.5

Application for a Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Driver’s Licence

(a) Grant a licence for the shorter term of three months in the light of the offence and conviction now reported, subject to the applicant taking and passing the knowledge and driving tests and, subject to there being no cause for concern, a licence be granted for a further term of six months and, subject to there being no further cause for concern, a licence be granted for the term requested, (b) the applicant be requested to undertake a drugs test within the first three-month licence period and (c) the applicant be given a written warning, to remain on his licence for a period of nine months, indicating that if there is any further cause for concern, the licence will be referred back to the Sub-Committee.
