Minutes:

4.1

The Chief Licensing Officer submitted details in respect of two cases relating to hackney carriage and private hire licensing.

 

 

4.2

The licence holder in Case No. 140/17 attended the hearing, and addressed the Sub-Committee.

 

 

4.3

The licence holder in Case No. 151/17 did not attend the hearing, and the Sub-Committee agreed to consider the case in his absence.

 

 

4.4

RESOLVED: That the cases now submitted be determined as follows:-

Review of a Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Driver’s Licence

The licence holder be issued with a written warning with regard to his future conduct, with such warning to remain live for the term of his current licence, and stating that if there is any further cause for concern, the licence will be referred back to the Sub-Committee.

Review of a Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Driver’s Licence

Immediately revoke the licence under Section 61 of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976, as amended by Section 52 of the Road Safety Act, as the Sub-Committee felt that, in the light of the offences and convictions now reported, the licence holder was not a fit and proper person to hold a licence.
