RESOLVED: On the motion of Councillor David Barker, seconded by Councillor Penny Baker, that Councillor Tony Downing be appointed Deputy Lord Mayor of the City of Sheffield for the Municipal Year 2018/19. |

Councillor Tony Downing (the Deputy Lord Mayor Elect) was invested with his Badge of Office and then made and subscribed to the declaration required by law to qualify him to act as Deputy Lord Mayor. |

Mrs. Val Downing (the Deputy Lady Mayoress) was invested with her Badge of Office. |

At this point in the proceedings, the meeting was adjourned to provide a lunch break. The meeting reconvened at 2.05 pm. and the six new Members of the Council elected in the recent Municipal elections (Councillors Simon Clement-Jones, Kaltum Rivers, Martin Phipps, Mohammed Mahroof, Francyne Johnson and Mike Levery) were introduced to the Council. |
