Minutes:

4.1

The Chief Licensing Officer submitted details in respect of two cases relating to hackney carriage and private hire licensing.

 

 

4.2

The licence holder in Case No. 56/19 attended the hearing, and addressed the Sub-Committee.

 

 

4.3

The applicant in Case No. 57/19 attended the hearing with a representative, and they both addressed the Sub-Committee.

 

 

4.4

RESOLVED: That, after consideration of the information contained in the case papers, and the information now reported, and, where relevant, circulated at the meeting, the cases now submitted be determined as follows:-

Review of a Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Driver’s Licence

Consideration of the case be deferred to a future meeting pending the licence holder submitting (a) evidence to prove he was residing at the property now mentioned, during the period in question and (b) the tenancy agreement in respect of the property now mentioned, including details of his landlord’s insurance.

Application for a Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Driver’s Licence

Subject to the applicant committing no offences up to 14th September 2019, being the date on which he will have held a full driving licence for two years, delegated authority be given for the Chief Licensing Officer to grant a licence for three years, as requested, from that date, on the grounds that the Sub-Committee considers the applicant to be a fit and proper person to hold a licence.
