The Lord Mayor (Councillor Tony Downing) referred to the events which were to be held in the city over the next few days, in conjunction with the Normandy Veterans Sheffield & District, to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the D-Day landings in Normandy, France. He read a poem in remembrance and Members of the Council observed a minutes’ silence in memory of all those who served in the Normandy campaign. |
