Minutes:

4.1

The Chief Licensing Officer submitted details in respect of two cases relating to hackney carriage and private hire licensing.

 

 

4.2

The licence holder in Case No. 101/19 attended the hearing with a representative, and they both addressed the Sub-Committee.

 

 

4.3

The applicant in Case No. 102/19 attended the hearing with a representative, and they both addressed the Sub-Committee.

 

 

4.4

RESOLVED: That, after consideration of the information contained in the case papers, and the information now reported, and where relevant, circulated at the meeting, the cases now submitted be determined as follows:-

Review of a Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Driver’s Licence

Immediately revoke the licence under Section 61 of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976, as amended by Section 52 of the Road Safety Act 2006, on the grounds that, given the nature of, and short timescale between, the two incidents now reported, the Sub-Committee considers the licence holder to be an immediate and ongoing risk to the public.

Grant a licence for a period of 12 months in the light of the exceptional circumstances now reported.
