4.1

The Chief Licensing Officer submitted details in respect of two cases relating to hackney carriage and private hire licensing.

 

 

4.2

The applicant in Case No.112/19 attended the hearing and addressed the Sub-Committee.

 

 

4.3

The applicant in Case No. 113/19 attended the hearing with a representative, and they both addressed the Sub-Committee.

 

 

4.4

RESOLVED: That, after consideration of the information contained in the case papers, and the information now reported and, where relevant, circulated at the meeting, the cases now submitted be determined as follows:-

Grant a licence for three months on the grounds that the applicant has provided sufficient evidence to convince the Sub-Committee that there are exceptional reasons to deviate from the current policy on the age limit of vehicles.

Application for an extension of a Private Hire Vehicle Licence

(a) Grant a licence for 12 months, on the grounds that the applicant has provided sufficient evidence to convince the Sub-Committee that there are exceptional reasons to deviate from the current policy on the age limit of vehicles and (b) delegated authority be given to the Chief Licensing Officer to further grant an extension to the licence for a further two years, subject to the vehicle passing the standard compliance tests.
