Further details including an additional submission, additional representations with officer response, amended condition and an additional condition were included within the Supplementary Report circulated and summarised at the meeting.

The Officer presented the report which gave details of the application and highlighted the history of the site and the key issues set out in the report.

Mr. Rob Burton and Ms. Susan Hostombe attended the meeting and spoke against the application.

Mr. Roland Bolton attended the meeting and spoke in support of the meeting.

The Committee considered the report and proposed conditions having regard to the development plan, the National Planning Policy Framework and other relevant considerations as summarised in the report and supplementary report now submitted and also having regard to representations made during the meeting.

RESOLVED: That Application No. 17/02756/FUL - Demolition of existing dwellinghouse and erection of a dwellinghouse at Bennett Cottage, Mayfield Road, Sheffield, S10 4PR be REFUSED on the grounds of the impact on the openness of the greenbelt and the impact on the Area of Special Character.  The decision notice to be formulated and the final wording to be delegated to the Chief Planning Officer in consultation with the Co-Chairs of the Planning and Highways Committee.
