The Chief Licensing Officer submitted details in respect of two cases relating to hackney carriage and private hire licensing.

The licence holder in Case No.60/20 attended the hearing and addressed the Sub-Committee.

 

 

4.3

The licence holder in Case No.58/20 did not attend the hearing.

 

 

4.4

RESOLVED: That, after consideration of the information contained in the case papers, and the information now reported, the cases now submitted be determined as follows:-

(a) Immediately suspend the licence for a term of three months as the Sub-Committee did not consider that the licence holder had made every effort to contact the Licensing Service informing them that he had been convicted of a driving offence and (b) the licence holder (i) be given a written warning as to his future conduct, to remain live for the term of the licence, and (ii) be requested to complete the Level 2 course – “Introduction to the Role of Professional Taxi and Private Hire Taxi Driver’ before the expiry of his licence.
