Minutes:

4.1

The Chief Licensing Officer submitted details in respect of four cases relating to hackney carriage and private hire licensing.

 

4.2

The applicant in Case No. 112/24 attended the hearing, and addressed the Sub-Committee.

 

4.3

The applicant in Case No. 113/24 attended the hearing with a representative, and they both addressed the Sub-Committee.

 

4.4

The applicant in Case No. 114/24 attended the hearing, and addressed the Sub-Committee.

 

4.5

The applicant in Case No. 116/24 attended the hearing with a representative, and they both addressed the Sub-Committee.

 

4.6

RESOLVED: That, after consideration of the information contained in the case papers, and the information now reported and, where relevant, circulated either prior to the meeting, but after publication of the agenda, or at the meeting, the cases now submitted be determined as follows:

Application for a new Private Hire Vehicle Licence.

 

Grant the licence for the term of one year, as applied for, on the grounds that the applicant has provided sufficient evidence to convince the Sub-Committee that there are exceptional reasons to deviate from the current policy on the age limit of vehicles.

Application for a new Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Driver’s Licence.

 

Grant the licence for one year with the Applicant to be issued with a warning as to his future conduct to remain live on his licence for three years, stating that, should there be any further causes for concern, the licence will be referred back to the Sub-Committee.

Application to renew a Private Hire Vehicle Licence.

 

Grant the licence for the term of one year, as applied for, on the grounds that the applicant has provided sufficient evidence to convince the Sub-Committee that there are exceptional reasons to deviate from the current policy on the age limit of vehicles.
