The difficult economic climate has many social, environmental and economic impacts and economic growth is essential to addressing these impacts on the City’s wellbeing, both in the present and the future. In the face of reduced availability of both public and private sector finance the City must have a clear economic strategy to enable partners to prioritise activities. Without an economic strategy, partners could not combine their collective strength to effectively address the right issues to drive growth – causing delivery to be uncoordinated and for the City to miss new opportunities. |
