Agreed to deviate from current policy and issue a licence for the normal term of 12 months on the grounds that (a) the Sub-Committee considers that the applicant’s failure to renew the vehicle licence on time was due to an unfortunate series of events which were outside his control and (b) the applicant’s vehicle is in good condition.

In the light of the circumstances of the case, and based on the evidence provided by the applicant, the Sub-Committee (a) agreed to grant a licence for the normal term of 18 months and (b) requested that a written warning be issued to the applicant as to his future conduct, which would remain on his licence for a period of two years, in the light of the offence now reported.
