CCTV for Wadsley Park Village
Due to the consistent, and increasing, crime levels within the Wadsley Park Village housing estate, we believe a network of CCTV cameras is a sensible preventative measure to help curb the crime levels, whilst also offering further powers to identify and catch crimes in process / those that are committing the act.
The police are in a position that makes it impossible to be everywhere at once, and we are currently reliant on people spotting things, which is not possible at all times of the night (when the crimes are often happening). CCTV cameras are a cost effective measure to help assist the police in making arrests, whilst also offering piece of mind to the residents that are now consistently feeling at risk.
