The decision seeks approval to allow the formal transfer of the service from Sheffield City Council to Learn Sheffield. The report recommends E-Learning and the Governors Service transfers under the management of Learn Sheffield commencing 1st November 2017. The report paper will set out the basis for the transfer of the service, how Learn Sheffield intends to deploy and sets out financial growth opportunities.

Sheffield City Council owns a twenty per cent share in Learn Sheffield and has provided financial support to assist in the growth and development of the organisation. Learn Sheffield is keen to grow its business model and, as such, requires opportunities to do so.
