Construction Skills Fund

 

 

This report informs members of a successful bid to the Construction Skills Fund (CSF) operated by the Construction Industry Training Board.  The bid was submitted on behalf of a consortium that includes Sheffield City Council, The Sheffield Housing Company, Keepmoat and Engie.

 

This report seeks approval, for Sheffield City Council to act as the accountable body and to work in partnership with consortium members to deliver the required training and on site work experience.

This decision will be taken under urgency procedures.

Reason for urgency:
Notification of a successful bid to deliver a CITB funded programme was received by SCC on 10 October 2018 on 6 November 2018 SCC the minister announced the programme. During this time clarification of the grant terms and conditions were sought and we were not in the position to submit a report for authorisation and did not know the date this could be achieved. We now have the clarity sought and in the position to put forward a report. Due to the Ministers announcement and to meet the start date of the programme Regulation 11 procedures are required.
