This report seeks approval to utilise the clause within a current contract for dispersed supported housing service for young people for a period of up to one year commencing 2nd February 2019.
The current contract provides support accommodation in a range of properties dispersed across the City and includes a small transitional landlord service for young parents. The current contract price is £455,000 p.a.

The contract was extended for one year earlier this year when we implemented cost effective measures by reducing the contract price and reducing or replacing properties of poor quality or in areas of high concentration of supported housing. We are seeking to extend the contract for a further year on or before 1st February 2020, with a break clause to terminate the contract on 30th September, if required.
A wider review of young people’s support contracts is underway.
