RESOLVED: That the public and press be excluded from the meeting before discussion takes place on the item of business to be considered on the grounds that, if the public and press were present during the transaction of such business, there would be a disclosure to them of exempt information as described in paragraph 1 of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972, as amended.

The Committee received a report of the Monitoring Officer relating to the Terms of Reference of the Independent Investigation, selection of the Independent Investigator and next steps.


RESOLVED: that the Sub-Committee (1) agreed the terms of reference of the Independent Investigation, (2) reviewed the status of the Chief Executive during the investigation and agreed that the Chief Executive should remain on agreed discretionary leave.
