Minutes:

4.1

The Chief Licensing Officer submitted details in respect of two cases relating to hackney carriage and private hire licensing.

 

 

4.2

The applicant in Case No. 18/15 attended the hearing and addressed the Sub-Committee.

 

 

4.3

The licence holder in Case No. 19/15 did not attend the hearing and the case was considered in his absence.

 

 

4.4

Application to renew a Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Driver’s Licence

(a) Grant a licence for the shorter term of nine months, in the light of the offences and convictions, and conduct of the applicant, now reported and, on renewal, authority be given to grant the applicant an 18 month licence, subject to there being no further cause for concern and (b) if there is any further cause for concern, the licence be referred back to the Sub-Committee.

Review of a Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Driver’s Licence

Revoke the licence under Section 61 of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976, as amended by Section 52 of the Road Safety Act 2006, with immediate effect, in the light of the offences and convictions now reported.
