The Executive Director, Children, Young People and Families, submitted a report and commented upon a case where a parent had appealed against the administrative decision made by the Executive Director with regard to the refusal to grant a home to school travel bus pass. |

The Committee gave consideration to all the supporting information and evidence provided by the pupil’s parents, including evidence and advice provided by an advice bureau and, arising therefrom, it was:- |

RESOLVED: That consideration of the appeal be deferred to enable the Executive Director to seek further information, specifically relating to the pupil’s mother’s medical condition, and authority be given for the Executive Director, in consultation with the Chair of the meeting (Councillor Ian Saunders), to determine the appeal (Case No. STCA1). |
