The Chief Licensing Officer submitted details in respect of three cases relating to hackney carriage and private hire licensing. |

The applicant in Case No. 40/21 attended the hearing with a representative, and they both addressed the Sub-Committee. |

The licence holder in case No. 41/21 attended the hearing and addressed the Sub-Committee. |

The applicant in Case No. 42/21 did not attend the hearing and, as no prior notice had been received from him, the Sub-Committee considered his case in his absence. |

(a) Grant a licence on the grounds that the Sub-Committee considers the applicant to be a fit and proper person to hold a licence but, given the conviction now reported, the licence be granted for the shorter term of 12 months and (b) the applicant be given a written warning as to his future conduct, to remain live for the term of the licence. |

Review of a Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Driver’s Licence |
(a) Re-instate the licence on the grounds that the Sub-Committee now considers the licence holder a fit and proper person to hold a licence and (b) the licence holder be (i) given a written warning as to his future conduct, to remain live for the term of the re-instated licence and (ii) required to complete the Level 2 Certificate “The Introduction to the Role of a Professional Taxi and Private Hire Driver” before the expiry of his next licence.
