Minutes:

4.1

The Chief Licensing Officer submitted details in respect of three cases relating to hackney carriage and private hire licensing.

 

 

4.2

The applicant in Case No. 65/21 attending the hearing and addressed the Sub-Committee.

 

 

4.3

The licence holder in Case No. 67/21 attended the hearing with a representative, and they both addressed the Sub-Committee.

 

 

4.4

The applicant in Case No. 72/21 attended the hearing and addressed the Sub-Committee.

 

 

4.5

RESOLVED: That, after consideration of the information contained in the case papers, the information now reported and, where relevant, circulated prior to the hearing, the cases be determined as follows:-

Refuse to grant a licence on the grounds that, in the light of the offence now reported and the number of warnings issued by officers,  the Sub-Committee does not consider the applicant to be a fit and proper person to hold a licence.

Application for the  renewal of a Private Hire Driver’s Licence

Grant a licence for 12 months on the grounds that the applicant has provided sufficient evidence to convince the Sub-Committee that there are exceptional reasons to deviate from the current policy on the age limit of vehicles.
