The newly appointed Leader of the Council (Councillor Terry Fox) addressed the Council and referred to the outcome of the recent Municipal Elections and subsequent negotiation by the three political groups on the Council of a collaborative and politically proportionate approach on how to run the Council. He added that, following his appointment as Leader of the Council, he would aim to navigate the Council through the new committee system of governance to make sure decisions are made which deliver for the people of Sheffield and the Council’s staff. |

The Lord Mayor (Councillor Sioned-Mair Richards) addressed the Council and echoed the remarks made by the Leader of the Council regarding the need for Members of the Council to work collaboratively within the new way of working under the committee system of governance. |
