Minutes:

4.1

The Chief Licensing Officer submitted details in respect of four cases relating to hackney carriage and private hire licensing.

 

 

4.2

The licence holder in Case No. 123/22 attended the hearing with a representative, and they both addressed the Sub-Committee.

 

 

4.3

The licence holder in Case No. 124/22 did not attend the hearing, and no prior notice had been received from him.

 

 

4.4

The licence holder in Case No. 125/22 attended the hearing with two representatives, and they all addressed the Sub-Committee.

 

 

4.5

The applicant in Case No. 127/22 attended the hearing and addressed the Sub-Committee.

 

 

4.6

RESOLVED: That, after consideration of the information contained in the case papers, and the information now reported and, where relevant, circulated either prior to the meeting, but after publication of the agenda, or at the meeting, the cases now submitted be determined as follows:-

(a) the licence holder be issued with a written warning as to his future conduct, to remain live for the term of his current licence and (b) a condition be attached to his licence to the effect that he be required to have his vehicle door signage permanently fixed to the doors of his vehicle.

Grant a licence for six months on the grounds that the applicant has provided sufficient evidence to convince the Sub-Committee that there are exceptional reasons to deviate from the current policy on the age limit of vehicles.
