Additional representations, along with the officer response, an amendment to reason 1 for refusal and a report correction were included within the supplementary report circulated and summarised at the meeting.

The Officer presented the report which gave details of the application and highlighted the history of the site and the key issues in addition to presenting photographs of the site which were provided to committee members in advance of the meeting.

Mick Hill, John Dolan and Susan Powers attended the meeting and spoke in support of the application.

The Committee considered the report and recommendation having regard to the development plan, the National Planning Policy Framework and other relevant considerations as summarised in the report and supplementary report, now submitted and also had regard to representations made during the meeting.

RESOLVED UNANIMOUSLY:- That the application for provision of enclosed dog walk/dog run area including 1.8m wire fencing, formation of parking area and timber shelter at Land Opposite Holme Head Wheel Dam, Rivelin Valley Road, Sheffield S6 5SF  (Application No. 22/02416/FUL) be REFUSED for the reasons outlined in the report.
