Minutes:

4.1

The Chief Licensing Officer submitted details in respect of two cases relating to hackney carriage and private hire licensing.

 

 

4.2

The applicant in Case No.198/22 attended the hearing with the vehicle’s main user, and they both addressed the Sub-Committee.

 

 

4.3

The applicant in Case No.199/22 attended the hearing with a representative and they both addressed the Sub-Committee.

 

 

4.4

RESOLVED: That, after consideration of the information contained in the case papers, and the information now reported and, where relevant, circulated either prior to the meeting, but after publication of the agenda, or at the meeting, the cases now submitted be determined as follows:-

Application to Extend a Hackney Carriage Vehicle Licence

(a) Extend the licence for six months on the grounds that the applicant has provided sufficient evidence to convince the Sub-Committee that there are exceptional reasons to deviate from the current policy on the age limit of vehicles and (b) the applicant be required to take the vehicle for a further compliance test after three months.
