The Committee received a presentation from Tracy Hendry, Road Safety Manager, Strategic Transport, Sustainability and Infrastructure, on an update on transport and road safety projects in south west Sheffield.

10.2

Ms Hendry reported on the school crossing patrol wardens, vehicle activation signs, a review of speed limits, active travel, school streets, Modeshift Stars, which comprised work with schools to encourage more pupils to walk to school, and Bikeability.  Ms Hendry reported on a number of small transport and road safety schemes in the area, which included double yellow lines, and concluded by referring to proposed 20mph schemes in the area.

RESOLVED: That the Committee:-

(a)      notes the information reported as part of the presentation now made; and

(b)      thanks Tracy Hendry for attending the meeting and making the presentation, and for assisting members of the public as part of the drop-in session prior to the meeting.
