Minutes:

4.1

The Chief Licensing Officer submitted details in respect of two cases relating to hackney carriage and private hire licensing.

 

 

4.2

The applicant in Case No. 63/23 did not attend the hearing and had submitted a request that the hearing be re-scheduled to another date

 

 

4.3

The applicant in Case No. 62/23 attended the hearing and addressed the Sub-Committee.

 

 

4.4

RESOLVED: That, after consideration of the information contained in the case papers, and the information now reported and, where relevant, circulated either prior to the meeting, but after publication of the agenda, or at the meeting, the cases now submitted be determined as follows:-

Application for the extension of a Private Hire Vehicle Licence

(a) Extend the licence until 4th June 2023, on the grounds that the applicant has provided sufficient evidence to convince the Sub-Committee that there are exceptional reasons to deviate from the current policy of the age limit of vehicles and (b) the Sub-Committee gave delegated authority to the Licensing Service, to further extend the licence should the applicant apply for and be granted financial support through the Clean Air Programme.
