The Lord Mayor (Councillor Colin Ross) reported with sadness, the death, on 4th April 2023, of former Councillor Mike Pye who had served as a Member of the Council from 1984 to 2001 and then again from 2002 to 2010, and who was Lord Mayor during the Municipal Year 2004-05. |

The Lord Mayor also reported with sadness, the death, on 11th April 2023, of former Councillor Jan Fiore who had served as a Member of the Council from 1980 to 2007. |

Members of the Council observed a minute’s silence in memory of former Councillors Pye and Fiore, and, at a later point during the meeting, several Members of the Council spoke to pay tribute to them. |
