Minutes:

4.1

The Chief Licensing Officer submitted details in respect of three cases relating to hackney carriage and private hire licensing.

 

 

4.2

The applicant in Case No. 92/23 attended the hearing with representatives, and they all addressed the Sub-Committee.

 

 

4.3

The applicant in Case No. 87/23 did not attend the meeting and, as he had not notified anyone of this, the Sub-Committee agreed to consider the case in his absence.

 

 

4.4

The applicant in Case No. 96/23 attended the hearing and addressed the Sub-Committee.

 

 

4.5

RESOLVED: That, after consideration of the information contained in the case papers, and the information now reported and, where relevant, circulated either prior to the meeting, but after publication of the agenda, or at the meeting, the cases now submitted be determined as follows:-

(a) Grant a licence for 12 months, as applied for, as the Sub-Committee considers the applicant to be a fit and proper person to hold a licence and (b) the applicant be given a written warning as to his future conduct, to remain live during the term of the licence now granted.

Refuse to grant a licence on the grounds that, in the light of the circumstances now reported, the Sub-Committee did not consider the applicant to be a fit and proper person to hold a licence.
