Minutes:

4.1

The Chief Licensing Officer submitted details in respect of four cases relating to hackney carriage and private hire licensing.

 

 

4.2

The licence holder in Case No.08/24 attended the hearing with a representative, and they both addressed the Sub-Committee.

 

 

4.3

The applicant in Case No.02/24 did not attend the hearing and had not provided any reasons for his absence.

 

 

4.4

The licence holder in Case No.09/24 attended the hearing with a representative, and they both addressed the Sub-Committee.

 

 

4.5

The licence holder in Case No.10/24 attended the hearing with a representative, and they both addressed the Sub-Committee.

 

 

4.6

RESOLVED: That, after consideration of the information contained in the case papers, and the information now reported and, where relevant, circulated either prior to the meeting, but after publication of the agenda, or at the meeting, the cases now submitted be determined as follows:-

Refuse to grant the application on the grounds that the Sub-Committee does not consider there is sufficient evidence to deviate from the current policy.

Review of a Private Hire and Hackney Carriage Driver’s Licence

The licence holder be (a) issued with a warning as to his future conduct, to remain live on his licence for a period of 12-months stating that, should there be any further causes for concern, the licence be referred back to the Sub-Committee; and (b) required to complete an approved safeguarding training course, before 30 June 2024.
