Minutes:

8.1

The Chief Licensing Officer submitted details in respect of four cases relating to hackney carriage and private hire licensing.

 

8.2

The applicant in Case No. 64/24 attended the hearing and addressed the Sub Committee.

 

8.3

The applicant in Case No. 65/24 attended the hearing and addressed the Sub Committee.

 

8.4

The applicant in Case No. 68/24 attended the hearing and addressed the Sub Committee.

 

8.5

The applicant in Case No. 67/24 attended the hearing with a representative and they both addressed the Sub-Committee.

 

8.6

RESOLVED: That, after consideration of the information contained in the case papers, and the information now reported and, where relevant, circulated either prior to the meeting, but after publication of the agenda, or at the meeting, the cases now submitted be determined as follows: -

Application for exemptions to a private hire vehicle licence.

Grant the application for exemptions from displaying private hire licence plate, private hire door operator door signage and Sheffield City Council vehicle signage, as applied for, on the grounds that the applicant has provided sufficient evidence to convince the Sub-Committee that there are exceptional reasons to deviate from the current policy on signage, with a condition that the exemptions should only be used in relation to bookings from King’s Travel.
