Tammy Barrass, Community Assembly Manager, gave a presentation celebrating and recognising the achievements of the Community Assembly. She referred to:-

• The Community Assembly Plan which reflected the priorities for the Assembly area.
• The Assembly’s role in local developments and projects across its four Ward areas.
• The community consultation undertaken and support given to community events.
• The Highways projects undertaken by the Assembly through its Highways budget allocation. In addition, the support given to local groups through the allocation of the Assembly’s Climate Change funding and also through the allocation of small grants and the “You Choose” scheme.
• The Roadshows organised by the Assembly and the close collaboration work undertaken with partners.

8.2

In conclusion, Tammy thanked everybody who had been involved in, and supported the work of, the Community Assembly and gave the Assembly’s best wishes to the proposed Locality Management Team in their work supporting the South West area.

A representative of the Friends of Porter Valley thanked Tammy and the Community Assembly team for all their support and encouragement over the last four years and gave an assurance that the group would build on the good work already achieved.
