107/13

Application for a Private Hire and Hackney Carriage Driver’s Licence

Refuse to grant a licence on the grounds that the Sub-Committee does not consider the applicant to be a fit and proper person to hold a licence, in the light of (a) the offences and convictions now reported, specifically the short period of time since the last offence and (b) the responses provided to the questions raised.

108/13

Review of a Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Driver’s Licence

In the light of the information contained in the report and the responses to the questions raised, the licence holder be given a written warning, to remain on his licence for a period of two years.

109/13

Application for the Renewal of a Private Hire Vehicle Licence

Refuse the application to extend the vehicle licence beyond 9th June 2014, which would require departing from the Council’s policy that a licence should not be granted where the vehicle is nine or more years old, as the Sub-Committee is not satisfied that there are exceptional circumstances which merited such a departure.
