Decision

106/14

Application to renew a Hackney Carriage Vehicle Licence

Grant a licence for 12 months, with effect from the expiry of the current licence and subject to the vehicle having three compliance tests within the 12 month period, on the grounds that the Sub-Committee considers that there are exceptional circumstances in the case, specifically relating to the service history and excellent condition of the vehicle, to warrant a departure from the current policy relating to the age limit of vehicles.

Refuse to grant a licence on the grounds that the applicant has not provided sufficient evidence to convince the Sub-Committee to depart from the current policy relating to the age limit of vehicles.

108/14

Application to renew a Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Driver’s Licence

(a) Grant a licence for the normal term of 18 months and (b) in the light of the offences and convictions now reported and the information provided at the hearing, the applicant be issued with a written warning as to his future conduct, to remain valid for a period of three years.
