Committee Details

The two Planning and Highways Committees were merged into a single Committee in May 2013.

The last meeting of this Committee was held on 29 April 2013.

The areas covered by this Committee included Arbourthorne, Attercliffe, Beauchief, Beighton, Bradway, Brightside, Broomhall, Broomhill, the City Centre, Darnall, Dore, Ecclesall, Gleadless, Greenhill, Greystones, Hackenthorpe, Handsworth, Heeley, Manor, Millhouses, Mosborough, Nether Edge, Norton, Sharrow, Shiregreen, Tinsley,  Totley, Wincobank, Woodhouse and Woodseats.

This Committee was responsible for planning applications, Tree Preservation Orders, enforcement action and some highway, footpath, road safety and traffic management issues. It is also responsible for determination of City Centre planning, development of transport matters and strategic development projects affecting the City as a whole.
