Dear Neighbours
Our local streets, built in the pre-car era, are heavily congested, often with cars parked on both sides of the road. In addition to the parking issues this generates, it can be extremely dangerous for local residents to navigate crossing. Some local residents have experienced near misses recently involving very young children.
Let’s not wait for the worst to happen.
The council is currently putting together an area wide parking scheme for consultation.
We petition the council to include a ” 20s plenty” speed limit in the area of the parking zone proposal. This will bring our area into alignment with the Sheffield City Council 2011 20mph strategy.
Please add your name today urging the Council to add this speed limit to the parking zone proposal. We will then present it to the full Council meeting in November
This proposal has the full support of the three local Councillors for the area.
