Why do I say this, it is because, when people who walk on foot to get from place to place they could encounter a pot hole or even worse, could fall over and badly hurt themselves? Some pot holes are so deep, it makes the footpaths harder to use for somebody who has no choice, but to use them on a day-to-day basis, just to get around Sheffield. The footpaths are not any better for a person who is trying to get from place to place. When you want to get off the footpath onto the road, you have to find a safe place to get off the footpath so you can cross the road and get over to the other side safely. Why am I saying this, it is because sometimes there may be parked cars blocking the way? This may be because when it comes to parking the car, they have to try and park with one wheel on the footpath, parking the car as they want instead of parking the car as they should. They could be blocking the way for somebody who is walking on foot, wanting to find a safe place to cross the road or use the footpath. Parked cars suddenly limit the amount of walking space there will be for somebody who is walking on the footpath to get around.
This is why I am asking Sheffield Council to make the footpath curb, colour friendly so that people can at least see how deep the footpath actually is so they do not damage their foot or leg while trying to get off the footpath to get over to the other side of the road.
People that don’t park the cars properly on the road should be taught a lesson, e.g
1. Road safety lessons
2. Vehicle should be booked
3. Vehicle should be clamp
4. How to park car a car
People starting a business to sell cars on their own street should be booked to teach them a lesson that a car sales business cannot be done on a residential street, especially when people are struggling to find a place to park their own car.
