Road safety measures needed on Rundle road

We the undersigned petition the council to Install double yellow lines at the turning of Rundle/Kenbourne Road and some sort of traffic calming to restrict the speed of traffic.

We are aware that resurfacing will soon be underway on Rundle Road S7. We would like to request that 2 things are taken into account and solutions found-

Turning right or left at the top of Kenbourne road is a dangerous procedure as cars are often parked right up to the junction and it is impossible to see traffic coming up or down the road before turning. Many Kenbourne residents have noted this and reported near accidents and there has been at least one potentially very serious crash at the end of 2019.

There are two reasons for this
1. Cars parked right up to the turning - Rundle road is a popular area for parking and this happens daily working hours.
2. the speed at which traffic travels after coming off the roundabout

This is a residential area with pedestrians, children and animals using the pavements and crossing the highway. As we know the road surface at present does serve to slow the traffic down. We are very concerned that the problems will be even worse once there is a new pothole free surface.
