Independent Living Solutions

Independent Living Solutions is one of the projects within Sheffield’s Integrated Health and Care Commissioning Programme.

 

The report recommends the approval of phase 1 of the Independent Living Solutions project. This phase will include a competitive procurement process leading to the selection of a provider to supply or loan community equipment that helps people to live more independently.

 

The current contract for the supply and loan of such equipment (between NHS Sheffield Clinical Commissioning Group and Sheffield Health and Social Care Trust) expires in June 2015.

 

The report also recommends that the decision on the final selection of the provider is delegated to the Director of Commissioning in the Communities portfolio in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Health, Care and Independent Living and the Cabinet Member for Children, Young People and Families
