Following Sheffield City Council’s success as part of a South Yorkshire wide funding bid for £4.811m Local Sustainable Transport Fund (LSTF) revenue monies, the Department for Transport has now confirmed funding for the one year fund, namely the financial year 2015/16. The Fund is key to delivering door to door connectivity and greener transport choices for businesses and the general public. Sheffield City Council (which includes the Safer Roads Partnership) are leading on projects to the value of £1.991m (including match funding) of which we are acting as the accountable body for £1.418mmillion. The remaining £573k is match funding, with £431k coming from external sources (including other public and private sector partners) and £142k coming from Sheffield City Councils existing revenue budget.
