Commissioning Plan to outline how the council will implement the Carers Strategy for adult and parent carers.
Supporting carers is every bodies business. You cannot improve carers’ lives just through services aimed directly at carers but also by changing behaviour of the workforce and the services that support service users and interact with carers.
Finding and identifying carers earlier and equipping them with the right support for them and their family is seen as the best prevention to carer breakdown (NB support - this does not need to be statutory and in many cases it is not)
