Decision type: Committee

Reason Key: Expenditure/savings > £500,000;

Decision status: Recommendations Approved

Notice of proposed decision first published: 20/01/2022

This decision will be taken under urgency procedures.

Reason for urgency:
The current contract expired at the end of April 2022 potentially leaving the council without vehicle telematics necessary to monitor driver location driving behaviour (e.g. speeding, breaking, safety) and other critical work regulation of work in services.

Contract award needs to occur immediately after the decision, failure to implement promptly would cause difficulties to the Council; it is in the interests of the Council and consistent with the Council’s fiduciary and legal obligations to deal with the matter expeditiously.
