Securing this site for flood storage in the Upper Don Valley is essential for the delivery of Phase 2 of the Upper Don Flood Alleviation which will better protect Neepsend, Shalesmoor and Kelham and is a key part of enabling investment in this area including Housing Zone North. A negotiated purchase of the land may be possible but we need to plan for Compulsory Purchase and the timescales associated.
